Hindus massacred after verifying as Non-Muslims by Islamist Terrorists in Pahalgam Kashmir on 22 April 2025

Hindu Council UK strongly condemns the terrorists attack on the innocent Hindu tourists in Pahalgam. The Executive and the members of HCUK are outraged at this inhumane and barbaric killing of innocent Hindus at the hands of the Jihadis

The terrorists selected non-Muslims tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, to kill at point blank after checking their name ID’s and for males by pulling their pants down to verify non-Muslims and then asking them to recite Kalama’s, the Islamic prayer. Thus, 28 tourists were killed heinously and 12 injured. The tourist group of people targeted were Hindu men, women and elderly, and children. These innocent people were enjoying the beautiful meadows of Pahalgam, some on horseback, when a spate of bullets was fired at them. The massacre was carried out after confirming the victims their HINDU religion.

Anil Bhanot, HCUK’s managing trustee, opines that the attack came soon after Pakistan’s military chief General Asim Munir declared openly in a speech that Hindus are different from them, and he went onto labour the point on freeing the Kashmiri Muslims from India; surely, there seems to be connection here. A terrorist outfit in Kashmir linked to Pakistan has already claimed responsibility for the attack. Yet the Guardian always with an anti-India stand and now the Daily Mail refers to these terrorists as militants only, the BBC perhaps with an improvement now has elevated to the term ‘Gunmen’ – well, their reporters should talk to the victims’ widows and orphans. This is Islamism and to contrast it with Islam please read the following paragraph:

Anil Bhanot goes on to say that ironically, the Muslims in Kashmir are living nicely with Hindus and even in this massacre, A Muslim Syed Adil Hussain Shah died whilst trying to save the Hindu victims. The difference in Islamism and Islam can be seen from this example alone. Basically, since the abrogation of the discriminatory article 370 against Hindus, Muslim women and others like Dalit – though Anil doesn’t like using this word – a lot of central government funds development has occurred over the last 5 years, resulting in 65mn tourists, 35% increase in school attendance, 85% drop in youth pelting stones and terrorist incidents, and so on.

We humbly urge the Central Government, Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, and the Chief Minister, Shri Omar Abdullah of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens of India visiting or living in Kashmir.

We also request Shri Modiji and Shri Amit Shah ji to take immediate action to combat Islamist terrorism and punish the perpetrators of this crime in Jammu and Kashmir urgently.

Hindu Council UK expresses their heartfelt condolences to all those families and friends who lost their loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, Om Shanti.

 Krishna Bhan (Mrs)

Chair HCUK [and of the Indo-European Kashmir Forum]
