Terror Attack On Hindu Pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir, Reasi District, Killing ten Hindu Pilgrims and Injuring thirty three Pilgrim Passengers in the Bus

The Board of Directors and the Executive of Hindu Council UK are deeply saddened and appalled by the cowardly terror attack on a bus carrying innocent Hindu pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. The armed terrorists attacked the bus that was on route from Shiv Khosi temple to Katra, a base town for the climb to the Vaishno Devi temple on the hill.

Hindu Council UK condemns this inhumane and cowardly act by the perpetrators of this terrorism.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those pilgrims who suffered this horrendous brutality and lost their lives, including women and children. We wish speedy recovery to the injured pilgrims.

Hindu Council UK requests the Prime-Minister of India and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha  of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to take immediate actions to combat terrorism and punish the perpetrators of this crime .The world community must acknowledge that the effects of terrorism are truly global, and it is a scourge on all civilized societies .
