Ahmedhiyas Conference of World Religions at GuildhallThe Ahmedhyia Muslim Community settled in the UK from 19th century convened a Conference of World Religions with faith leaders from across the world.

Every religions spoke of the need for tolerance and respect for each other. Umesh Chander Sharma the Chairman of Hindu Council UK read from the Gita, reciting Bhagwan Krishna’s words proclaiming, ‘Come to me and I shall absolve you of all sins’ and whomsoever worships me with a pure heart and devotion be it in any name or form he/she surely comes to me ultimately’. Ahmedhiyas Conference of World Religions at GuildhallUmesh Sharma explained that there is only One God and we all worship the same in whatever name or form. God has no religion. He said Gita does not mention any religion, it is simply for Humankind.

Among other religious leaders several political leaders gave a similar message of peace and understanding and peace.
