A British Hindu Manifesto – The Hindu Council UK

Press Release by the Indo-European Kashmir Forum – Kashmiri Hindus’ Martyrs day 14th September

On the eve of Kashmiri Pandits/Hindus’ Martyrs Day on 14th September, we pay tribute and salute all those Kashmiri Pandit/Hindus and women and men in the Armed Forces of India, who sacrificed their lives to keep us safe and free.

A short verse by an unknown Author is dedicated to our heroes :

“Unselfishly, you left your fathers and your mothers,
You left behind your sisters and your brothers.
Leaving your beloved children and wives,
You put on hold, your dreams-your lives.
To fight for those whose freedom you granted.
Without your sacrifice, their cause would be lost
But you carried onward, no matter at what cost”

Our prominent KP community members, the late Mr.N.K.Gangoo, the late Mr.Tika Lal Tiploo and many other such personalities from all walks of life have been martyred just because they upheld the Indian ethos, values of democracy and freedom of speech in Kashmir. They were subjected to intimidation, panic, murder and assault with a view to strike terror among us all.

We Recognize, Remember, Revere and Salute every one of them!

Jai Hind.
