Hindu Academy a charity based in London has been teaching GCSE and Advanced level Hinduism in the UK for nearly 20 years.
Its candidates regularly get very high grades in these examinations, with some getting 100% marks at Advanced level. The GCSE Hinduism results that came out on 25th August 2016 show extra ordinary achievement of their young candidates. Most of them are 14 year old and yet over 90% of them achieved A* grade.
A vast number got 100% marks in either one or both modules at GCSE. Such achievement at a young age gives them great confidence when they sit for other GCSE examinations in the coming years.
Studying Hinduism and achieving such high marks means that when they apply through UCAS for a place in a University the top universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, call them in for an interview and many of them end up at some of these most prestigious universities due to their knowledge of Hinduism.
The greatest benefit is that they have now learnt their religion in a rational, structured manner so they can distinguish the mythology from the philosophy and relate to the deeper vision of Hinduism to guide them in the way they lead their lives.
