The Manchester Terror Attack outside the Synagogue on Thursday 2 October Leaves 2 Dead and Several Injured on Yom Kippur

Hindu Council UK is appalled and deeply saddened at the cowardly and vicious antisemitic attack in Manchester on Thursday 2 October 2025. As the Jewish worshippers gathered at the Heaton Park Synagogue for the observance of their holiest day, Yom Kippur, a bearded man drove into worshippers, stabbing two men and injuring several others. The holiest day of the Jewish calendar had been desecrated by terror. It was a vile attack, not only on the Jewish community but on the entire humanity.

We, the Hindu Council UK, Hindus in Britain, and the world over, stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in wanting terrorism to be eradicated from the world so that innocent people can be assured of the right to live peacefully. Likewise, we stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters against antisemitism.

Hindu Council UK applauds the Greater Manchester Police for their immediate response and their bravery in preventing an even a greater tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected in this tragic attack. We share their grief and send our good wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery to those who are recovering from their injuries.
