Over 7,300 inspiring people who will be carrying the Olympic Flame have been confirmed.
The Torchbearers include those who were successful through the public nomination processes run by LOCOG and the Presenting Partners, Coca Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung. Each Torchbearer has received confirmation of the day and in which community they will be carrying the Flame. Find out more about the inspirational people who will carry the Olympic Flame.
An average of 115 Torchbearers a day will carry the Flame during its 8,000-mile journey around the UK before it arrives at the Olympic Stadium on 27 July at the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. The remainder of the total of 8,000 Torchbearers will be confirmed over the coming months.
The streets along which the Torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame have also been revealed, enabling local people to plan for celebrations. An online map gives street-by-street details as the Flame travels through more than 1,000 communities announced at the end of last year.
Route plans for the final two days in London will be confirmed in April.
